Nesburgs, Mothers Taste, picnics up the hill at the "sky bar" and in Lushun and a cafe in Kaifaqu.
The braised backbone of pork is probably the tastiest dish I have ever eaten.  The beaming, big eyed waitress dancing attendance on Cos made it all the more entertaining!!!!

China, China and more China!

Sketches done during my few months in China.  Often done fast because it was either cold, windy or we were on the move!  These were all done at Golden Pebble Beach Resort, Jinshitan.

Some sketches done around school once the weather got better!   I bought the sketch book locally and the paper was awful, acted like blotting paper!

Algunos bosquejos hechos alrededor del colegio cuando se mejoro el clima.   Compre el libro en una tienda local, el papel chupaba la acuarela, horible!

Chinese New Year

I spent CNY in the Shangri La in Dalian with Stef, an ex Caracas colleague.  We did some tourism but it was bitterly cold and the wind drove us back to the hotel the days we did venture out.   So we spent a lot of time in the Horizon Lounge on the 25th floor talking and putting the world to rights.

Pase Año Nuevo Chino en el Shangri La en Dalian con Stef, una ex compañera de Caracas.  Hicimos algo de turismo pero el viento era tan cruel que tuvimos que regresar al hotel rapido los dias que salimos.   Pasamos ratos largos en el Salon Horizon, Piso 25 hablando y

poniendo el mundo hecho y derecho!

Finally, a new post and some sketches

These sketches were done in January and February.  Some on a bullet train coming back from the ice and snow sculpture festival in Harbin China.   It has been far too cold to be outside but hopefully I will be sketching more now that it is warming up.  Also been pretty busy and too tired after a long day.

Bosquejos hecho en Enero y Febrero.  Algunas en el tren rapido en el retorno a Dalian desde Harbin.  Fui con un grupo a visitar los esculturas de hielo y nieve.  Hacia demasiado frio para que pasaba afuero dibujando pero parece que estaria mejor ahora, ademas estoy cansada, los dias son duros y largos!
