Monday in the Museo de Arte Afroamericano with circulo de dibujo

The museum doesn´t usually open on Mondays but today circulo de dibujo spent the morning at this lovely place sketching and listening to Nelson Sanchez talking about African art.
I have included here a couple of drawings done on an earlier visit to the museum.

Saturday 28th September, a really bright sunny day for my first sketching marathon! Too bright and too sunny, most of the places had no shade so it was really hot.   Our lunch break was in the Plaza Ali Primera which had been taken over by a group who were giving out clothes and free haircuts to the down and outs of the city, accompanied by religious music!  Our last stop was the busiest of all the squares, there was a tourism/water thing going on so the square was full of kids and their parents.  Two friends and I finally gave up trying to sketch as the hoardes of little boys who were surrounding us, questioning every move,  made it hard work.
Map, planning and group photo thanks to Max Gonzalez Citterio!
