Spring is on the way!

              I have a new easel so went out and bought some spring flowers so that I could test it!!

As the day wears on the snow is melting.

 

Getting back into the habit of painting water colours again!

 It has been a bit of a battle, this is the third attempt at the bowl of lemons,  still not overly happy but, it is a start!

We had a little more snow during the night!

 It is bitterly cold as there is quite a strong wind so I am painting from the inside looking out!!

It's snowing!!

 Unibal pen on black paper with some white pastel and wax crayon resist, water colour and some black ink.  

Attempting to get back to sketching and painting.

 I have been trying to finish off other projects so have hardly done any sketching or painting since before Christmas.  Today made a start drawing the cow parsley my sister and brother in law found for me using white pen on back paper, white pastel on black paper and a japanese calligraphy brush pen and fountain pen on brown paper. Ah, and fountain pen in my regular sketch book of a plant I have.  .
